This kinda looks familiar to my last set, but I promise this is a new gig! Byronic Sex & Exile decided to tour again, in the same venue in Sheffield, with AMereKat again, so I went and took more photos, and some videos this time. I’m quite enjoying playing with DaVinci Resolve as a film editing program, although the learning curve is pretty steep.
Ooh! A goth gig! Took these back in September for Joel who puts on the tremendous Goth City Festival annually up in Leeds. I’ve not done that much photography in AGES, hence the distinct lack of new photos up on here. I’ve released a few of these on Facebook over the last 6 months but never really finished the set off. Busy Busy! I had a quick look at it, and realised I definitely had done enough too justify popping the set out though, especially now I’d finished sorting out the video as well.

This was a tough one! Lee from Krapwerk asked me to come down to take some shots of them, but it being September with an early start and limited stage lighting meant the room was pretty much daylight for much of the first two bands, and then really dark for the final band. I always find it hard in daylight always makes it hard to make people look like “rock stars” rather than people with instruments. And my 450d really can’t handle it being too dark, resulting in a lot of grainy pics. Still, managed to get these, some of which are ok!
